SCOTLAND Reports
Cullen: George Forbes spent the last week in October with the assembly. In a well attended monthly meeting in Portknockie on Lords Day evening he told how he came to know the Saviour, advertised as How John 3.16 Changed My Life. Childrens meetings were held each evening Monday to Thursday. A lad brought much joy to all by trusting the Lord Jesus after the second meeting. A visit to the local school was arranged, something that the assembly had not tried before, but will certainly be repeating, Lord willing, as brother George was so well received. Prayer is valued for the childrens work during the winter, also for the next Portknockie meeting (November 27th) with brother John Grant.
Forres: During June to September, the assembly has been able to complete the annual tracting of 17 towns and villages in Moray, and also a large part of Forres. Numbers coming to the gospel meeting are picking up again. The profitable week of Bible Readings and teaching was preceded by much earnest prayer. Larger numbers than usual attended the meetings which were conducted by J Hay and I Jackson, and many expressed their appreciation of spiritual help received.
Sam Matthews reports that letters of thanks and appreciation are still coming in from those who have received the Words of Comfort booklets. One lady has asked for some, also Strength for the Day, to use with discretion in her work among sick and bereaved. But there are adversaries seeking to disrupt - pray for this work while the door is still open.
